World leaders deliver messages for sustainable and common future for all humanity.

We would like to share personal experiences as peacebuilding negotiators and lessons learned and discuss the importance of peacebuilding to achieve SDGs and vice versa.

This session will start with a global view of the of the accomplishments, or the lack thereof, of the SDGs as reflected in the annual human development index (HDI). This will be followed by a look into the implementation of the SDGs in specific national contexts. Finally, a presentation will be made on a concrete way forward for the SDGs built around the concept of planetary health.

In this Plenary Session, we would like to define the potential common roots of the low birth crisis, mental health, and suicide crises in Korea, and discuss expanding the UN SDG mental health indicators to include well-being and general mental health measures.

This session aims to explore the pivotal role of the care economy in establishing a sustainable society, particularly in the face of challenges posed by ultra-low fertility rates. The focal point of the discussion will be the invisible and often unpaid nature of care work, predominantly carried out by women.

The primary objective is to meticulously examine the SDGs within the Majority World, with a specific emphasis on advocating for the rights and well-being of the marginalized and oppressed populations globally. Through our efforts, we aspire not only to authentically represent the diverse perspectives within Majority World contexts, ensuring that the nuances of SDG interpretation and implementation are thoroughly explored, but also to catalyze transformative understanding and change.
