    Monika Froehler is a political organization consultant and contractor. She is the Interim Chief Executive Office of the Ban Ki-moon Centre. Ms. Froehler has participated in the team of the former Special Representative and UN Undersecretary General for Sustainable Energy for All. Also, she worked with the Austrian Foreign Ministry as an advisor and press spokeperson , specializing disarmament, non-proliferation and environmental affairs.

    President of Yonsei University

    Yong Hak Kim, Professor of Sociology, is the 18th President of Yonsei University. After graduating from Yonsei University’s sociology department, Mr. Kim received a master’s and doctorate in sociology from the University of Chicago. He is also currently a member as the Board of Directors of Samsung Life Insurance’s Public Welfare.

    11th President of Austria

    Heinz Fischer is a former Austrian politician who took office as 11th President of Austria between July 8, 2004 and July 8, 2016. In 2017, Mr. Fischer was named the Board of the Institute for Human Science and was appointed as the co-chairman of the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens.

    President of KOICA

    Lee Mikyung is the 12th President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). As she is the co-head of the Korea Women Parliamentary Network (KWPN), Ms Lee is an expert in education, gender equality, inclusive economic growth, and peace. Ms. Lee also served as a member of the National Assembly, a member of the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Unification Committee of the National Assembly, and a head of Korean Women’s Association United.

    Lee Nak-yeon is a South Korean politician who is the current Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea. Prime Minister Lee previously served as the governor of Jeollanam-do province and worked as a journalist for the Dong-a Ilbo. He also served as a member of the National Assembly of Korea for four terms as a law maker. Prime Minister Lee earned his bachelor’s degree in law from Seoul National University.

    Sebastian Kurz is an Austrian politician who is currently the 25th Chancellor of Australia. Chancellor Kurz studied law at University of Vienna and was also previously a member of Vienna’s city council. Appointed as the Foreign Minister in Austria in 2013, he is not only the youngest leader in the European Union (EU), but also one of the youngest world leaders.

    Mayor of Seoul City

    Since October 2011, Park Won Soon is the Mayor of Seoul Metropolitan Government. Before taking office as Mayor of Seoul, Mayor Park worked as a human rights lawyer centering on the democracy and human rights movement in Korea. He is also the President of Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), a leading global network and a board member of the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy.

    8th UN Secretary General

    Ban Ki-moon, who was the 8th Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) from January 2007 to December 2016, is currently the Honorary Chair of Institute of Global Engagement & Empowerment (IGEE) at Yonsei University. Prior to joining the UN, Mr. Ban has served as South Korea’s Minister of Foreign Affiars and as a diplomat. During his ten year tenure, his leadership led United Nations to achieve the establishment of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.

    Natalia Kanem is the 5th Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). She has a strong leadership experience in the fields of medicine, public and reproductive health, health rights, international peace, social justice, and philanthropy. Before serving in the UNFPA, Dr. Kanem was the founder of ELMA Philanthropies Inc., a private institution that focuses on African children and youth.

  • Mahmoud Mohieldin

    Senior Vice President of WBG

    Mahmoud Mohieldin is the World Group Senior Vice President for the 2030 Development Agenda, United Nations Relations, and Partnerships. Before joining the World Bank, Dr. Mohieldin was the Minister of Investment of Egypt from 2004 until 2010. He was a member of the Commission on Growth and Development and selected a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum.

    Assistant Director-General for Family, Women and Children and Adolescents of WHO

    Princess Nothemba Simela is the Assistant Director-General for Family, Women, Children, and Adolescents at the World Health Organization (WHO). Previously, Dr. Simelela served as the Special Advisor to the Vice President of the Republic of South Africa on Social Policy and the Chief Executive Officer of the South African National AID Council.

      Oh Joon was the 71st President of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). In September 2013, He was the South Korean Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Republic of Korea to the UN. Prior to the joining the ECOSOC,he was also the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Singapore and Deputy Minister for Multilateral and Global Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Seoul.

      Former Prime Minister of New Zealand

      Helen Clark, a New Zealand politician, served as the 37th Prime Minister of New Zealand from 1999 to 2008. As Ms. Clark was New Zealand’s second female Prime Minister, she was the first to lead her party to an electoral victory. Also, she was the frist female head as the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme from 2009 to 2017.

      Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana is the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP). Since 2016, Ms. Alisjahbana served as Director for the Center for Sustainable Development Goals Studies at Universitas Padjadjaran. Also, she served on the Governing Board of the Economic Research Institute for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and East Asia.

Ms. Bokova is also a vocal advocate of European unity, gender equality, women’s empowerment, and education.
